well, since the helmets are rotocast i.e. hollow there were two layers of vinyl per socket that i had to remove.
the layer that you're looking at when you take out the lenses - the outside layer.
and then there's the inside of the helmet - the inside layer. well, duh! i know, i'm sorry...
the holes on the inside i made almost as big as the eye decals so you can see enough of the eyes from almost every angle.
well, since the helmets are rotocast i.e. hollow there were two layers of vinyl per socket that i had to remove.

hey cappy,
if you make the holes on the inside of the helmet big enough
there's not much fiddling involved. however, i put a few felt pads inside the helmet
to make it fit snugger (as suggested by FERG - thanks, man) so, when you turn the head
the helmet doesn't wobble about and the eyes stay aligned...
at least with the NKD GID i don't see a downside.
and when you don't wanna see his eyes you just pop in the white or black lenses.
with the gassed i'd say the eye decals are a tad low on the inner head - but no biggie. still cool.
it may vary slightly from piece to piece, though.

I received my gid, today;
the parcel was blocked during
17 days.
and I have to pay 60€ custom charges to the delivery;
all is well which finished well.
