i use supersculpey (regular&firm), aves apoxie, chavant nsp, various modelling waxes,
anything from wood dowels to cardboard tubes and basically anything and everything
that would fit the 'job'. also, with original work, i often make molds and cast pieces in resin.

here you go:

it's a tiny mod. i cut the hands off with an x-acto, making sure that the socket of the ball joint would fit in there
and also that the cut would be completely hidden by the sleeves at all times. dremeled out a 8mm hole in the hand
to take the socket-part of the ball joint. drilled a 3mm hole in the arm to take the plug of the ball-part of the joint.
left a gap of about 1mm between hand and harm to allow for slight upwards/downwards - left/right movement.
painted things black using matte acrylic paint. done. the joints i got from hlj.com. they're called poly units

one could dremel the cut end of either the hand/wrist or the arm at an angle to allow for even more movement - but i was too lazy.
