painting metal with primary colors
Does anyone know a video tut that can show how to paint metals like steel etc with primary colors? I know they sell metallic paint but I'd like to try and copy the effect with normal colors.

I am not sure what you are asking.
Do you want to paint metal, or paint plastic to look like metal that has been painted?

Is it NMM (Non Metal Metal) you mean
There's plenty of tutorials out there for smaller models from Games Workshop etc.

I'm thinking about doing a knights themed painting and it's a bit hard to get the suit right. I did a helmet study (with red, blue, yellow, and white) but it didn't come out quite right. Painting plastic to look metal would probably be pretty helpful.

I found this video on the theory part of painting metals. The book she talks about looks like a great resource. Its really a shame I need to google videos on painting after spending 2 years in an "elite art school" , worst fuckin idea ever.
