Re: Mechawhales
This looks so cool! I also really like the 3d sketches, must be a LOT of work to make them.

Re: Mechawhales
Thank you. Yes it is work but it gets easier with every model since I can reuse parts from previous ones.Applejuice wrote:This looks so cool! I also really like the 3d sketches, must be a LOT of work to make them.
Re: Mechawhales

Re: Mechawhales
I love exosquad. The cartoon was really awesome and quite deep for its time. Robotech was great too. Though I am probably more familiar with the robotech designs through the old Battletech board game. The Centraedi Officer Pod will always be a Marauder battlemech to me. ;-)
@whacko: Thanks! I always try to make my stuff weird. It is great to know they are amazing to some as well. :-)

Thanks Edstuff! I am really excited about this. I hope everyone who orders the figure will like it.
Below is the official release information. (I thought I had already posted this)
The figure is availabe for preorder at:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/default.aspx
Retailers can now order the Mechawhales PVC figure via DKE TOYS Distribution. http://dketoys.com/
If you want one, tell your local hobby store or favorite online retailer to get them for you.
The Mechawhales figure is 5.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. It is made from PVC and has a highly detailed paintjob. The shoulders, wrists and tail can be rotated. The figure comes in a collector friendly box that makes it very easy to take the figure out of the packaging and putting it in again. It also comes with a cardboard diorama for displaying the figure outside the box.

@edstuff: Do not worry. I doubt they will sell out that fast. I made quite a bit. :-)
@ianthegamer: The weirdness is definitely what I am loving about them too. :-)
I have released a second Mechawhales Animation to celebrate the figure finally being at retail:
I hope you like it, Hauke

Re: Mechawhales
Sweet animations man. Really help to sell the figures too. I couldn't help but notice a narwhal in there as well. Are they eventually going to be a figure as well? You know I want it if it is. Also, the blues are a must! I would have no problem dedicating 2 shelves in my detolf to mechawhales.

Thanks edstuff. Poor Narwhale got the victim role in this animation but in the next one I plan to give those guys a more heroic role.
I would love to make the narwhale and any other Mechawhale. But it all depends on how well the first one does.

My distributor does work worldwide but wether an European shop picks it up is not up to me. If you have a local hobby store you might ask him to get them for you. Stores can order via www.dketoys.com
Re: Mechawhales
The celebration animation forces me to demand the other whales see production! (Orca on deck, please.) Heck, give us some aliens, too -- they have a great nasty vibe to them.

Thanks! I would love to do the orca and also some aliens for the whale to stomp on. :-)
