My idea would destroy the desks... but if you chop them down to just big ass squbes you could perhaps have a fish tank in between the two squbes in which you could put all your squadt frogs inside with some fish cyclops

However you would have to buy fish and all that shit.

You could sand them down, varnish them and you've got some bad ass benches for the garden.

Funny you say that because I thought about cutting out front sections and putting fish tanks in but use the fish tanks as display cases for the collection. Still TBD
