It´s not a regular color/paint. It is not chrome or chrome-effekt-color. I gave him to specialist - they are the only ones in the world doing stuff like that. In general they work for Artists like Zaha Hadid or companies like Bugatti. They use real silver in a top secret mixture to to this.

Sweet! Man I would love to see it in person. I had fplus do a terminator for me about a year ago https://jamungo.forumotion.com/t4027-germinator-squadt-custom-for-a-very-patient-boardie I don't know what he did, but it's still looking good. Would like to do another Shiny piece later on. Did this specialist do this as a favor for you or are they just a paid service?
OH yeah love your avatar dude.

Re: Ⓐ REAL SILVER OOZE
Insane piece buddy congrats!
Not to highjack your thread but I attempted something similar without the stellar results. I'm a jewelry designer and tried to 18k gold plate a NKD Jack. Tested one of his arms and got it to bond but the heat process slightly disfigured the arm. You can see on the knuckles some bubbling. Even so it came out cool but not anything short of perfect isn't worth the total cost of a fully 18k plated squad. Peep a few shots below.

Thanks a lot for your compliments.
I have seen the amazing „germinator“ - so is that nice piece part of your collection?
In general they work only for big companies and artists. I´ve done a visit and they explained me what they are doing and partly how they do that.
So I guess I had a good contact to the foreman and it was a paid favour.
But maybe I can ask to turn a blind eye if someone here is interested in covering another ooze or maybe the new trouble boy.

Hi jpseso18k - thanks for your compliment. It´s great that some of you like the new look of my ooze.
I am not afraid of highjacking this thread. I am very impressed about your idea. My girlfriend had the vision to cover that ooze with gold instead of silver. This will give a more Aztec look or is a homage to that game-of-thrones character which was killed by a liquid gold crown.
That golden Arm looks very interesting and of course it will be a great look to cover a squadt helmet that way.

Re: Ⓐ REAL SILVER OOZE
Yours came out super clean. My method of gold plating gets the squadt too hot.
Congrats on the piece, its top notch.

Well definitely freaking cool of your contact to pay the favor by doing this. I'm definitely jelly of this Squadt lol.

I hope at least one more.
If there is enough interest, I would ask if it is possible to silver 3 or 4 Ooze or TB helmets.
Can not promise that but i would try.
Just shoot me a PM.

Re: Ⓐ REAL SILVER OOZE
Some more details about the process and my possibilities:
I do not know all details about the process but I know the most important facts.
They developed a special oportunity within the last 20 years to create a mixture of liquid silver. As i mentioned it is not chroming or chromeeffekt - the ultra shiny look works with real silver.
At first they remove the complete color from the object and clean the it from other stuff like fat or dirt and. Than they do a special primer covering to make the shiny silver coating happen. Next step is that they "float" it with the silver mixture and wash the excessed liquid down with clear water. After that they heat it up in a extra process. To keep the object shiny and perfect for long they give it a protective layer of silver coating aligned clear varnish. Otherwise the silver particles would react with the air and become dark and ugly. The whole processes took about 4 days for my ooze helmet.
In general it is possible covering other helmets than the available retailers (dreaming of a silver copperhead). But this option only works for european members, cause sendings from other countries will be intercepted by the strict german customs. The problem is that i have to pick them up 15km away and pay tariffs and taxes for each one.
But I can offer everone the possibility to order current retailer-versions from european retailers like outlandstore or minty for the coating and send them to everyone after refinement.
As I told I can not promise to make it happen right now. I just try to if some of you are interested till the end of april and give feedback if they will do another silver coating for such a tiny "private" project.
