Landed!
Just picked them up from myplasticheart. I haven't taken Chipp out of his packaging yet, since I mangled Jack's blister while freeing him. I'm considering cutting a flap in the back of Chipp's card with an art knife and using velcro and glue or pop-buttons to allow for opening and closing of the package. However, I tried to cut a flap in Jack's card and failed pretty miserably since it's hard to get through the card completely without cutting through the plastic on the front of the blister.
Anyway, here he is! Â
First impressions: he really is a tiny Squadt, with the same articulation, clean cast/sculpt, clothing quality—all the details that add up to the clean and dark-but-cute look of the regular-sized ones are intact here. QC seems good on mine; his joints are firm but moveable and I could move his arms and head pretty easily. The shotgun slipped out of his hand once or twice but it's no big deal. Some things are slightly different of course; his shape is very close to that of my larger Squadts but it's not exact. Most noticeably, his head is a little rounder and less flat on the front; I personally like the change. If .50 versions of more recent Squadts came out, especially the Trouble Boys, I'd have to scrimp and save to buy at least one complete set—there's something that's just so nice about the smaller form factor.
One cause for concern is the inside of his helmet—on my piece, it's a little rough and I'm worried about it wearing down the vinyl pretty fast if I move the helmet around too much. Have any of you tried fine sandpaper on a rough bit of vinyl before? How did it turn out?

Re: CHIPP AND JACK .50 [DIE FUCKERS] SET
Trying to figure out a way to get him out of the blister without damaging it too much. I might just forget about it and tear him out this evening.
More notes:
Also, he's light (duh)!
More notes:
- Removing the head was perhaps the most stressful Squadt experience I've had thus far; it's a tight fit, even when heated
- There are some visible imperfections (little raised sections) on the body and arms which I didn't notice earlier
- Helmet is kind of loose but the hoodie keeps it on when moving around
- It's still badass and I still want them all—some minor variations in QC between this and the larger ones was to be expected and a pocketable Squadt is such a cool idea!
Also, he's light (duh)!

You know, I really like these, but not enough to buy a second pair.
Eighty dollars for another pair is eighty dollars that aren't going towards a Drifter or a Big Sleep. The woes of a fledgling collector.
