exhibitions at myplasticheart nyc
Shot in the dark here but my girlfriend loves Konatsu's work (famous for her Negora character) and she's having an exhibition at MPH in NYC in a few weeks. We booked a flight and a place as soon as the date was firm and are ready to fly out to attend our second ever designer toy/art opening reception (first was Squadt Assembly here in Chicago a few months back!)
As of right now MPH has indicated that they aren't doing any ticketing like Rotofugi does (Roto the best) so I'm curious if anyone here has ever been to an opening reception at MPH, and what your experience was like? I visited in April of last year and it's a wonderful little store. I just want to make sure that we are able to get all the items we want. Prepared to camp / whatever if necessary like a true madman.

I went to New York Scratches last year; there was no ticketing, just a line. The line did get pretty long, though, so try and be there a while in advance.

Yup! That's why we are going, Been saving up for a bit. Of course rumor has it new Squadt on the way, so how will I pay for everything? I don't know!

Yeah, I plan on getting early to be early in line, but I worry that once the door opens it'll be a rush.

have a good move!
Ok, finally some pictures, sorry it took a bit long, but after the move it was close enough to when MPH would ship me my custom so I decided to wait.
Here are some pictures:
This was the custom that I purchased, it was painted by Rampage Toys. It was one of my favourites and reasonably priced.
Here are some of the customs by Konatsu that I was able to snag:
And then some of the regular stuff that she had brought:
