A LONG NEEDED UPDATE.

Sorry for my late respons.
I discovered the news this noon and didn't know how to act first.
It hit me like a emotional bomb and i realised that - although I told that I lost hope month ago - deep inside I was still hoping for a second and even stronger squadt era. Probably like all of you did...
Now, 7 hours, a mindless run through april rain and some silent tears later I feel sad.
Not just a bit sad It feels like a huge loose. A emotional mix of honest sadness, disappointment, fury and diremption, but caught enough to write down some words surrounded with all my squadts (sitting into the circle).

It's my fourth year of collecting squadts. I remember a wonderful time having the chance to collect these amazing art toys, being part of this community and discovering great people and new friends.
Sometimes this community felt like a big family, discussing, sharing helping each other. Every single squadt drop gave me back this exceedingly childhood feeling. The squadt store releases, the retailers, the exhibitions, the assemblies... all was so special.
I remember direct conversations with Ferg, remember special silver refinement jobs, remember visiting other collectors and friends, remember staying awake to score the assembly lottery at 2:30 am on a tuesday morning and getting up at 6 for work. I remember my first drop, and every other squadt purchase I have done, hunting Hatched, Drifter, Petro and co. I remembers 12 weeks of restless waiting and  dozens of cusom office visits to finally free my squadts. I remember nightlong squadt posing, squadt shooting at abondent and lost places and monthlasting custom projects. I remember hours of conversation, tons of personal PM's and a pulsing forum with custom-, collection-, and restricted area shots.

It was simply a wonderful time and I enjoyed every moment. For this all I want to say thank you Ferg. Thank you for bringing all this amazing characters in our homes, Thank you for sharing this universe with us and make adults to feel like children again. Thank you for beeing always on the ground and giving us the chance for a personal chat and contact via this legendary forum here.
I also want to say thank you to all my mates in here for making it happen the way it was/is. Thanks Fred, Tierry, Pat, Charly, Ben, Marco and all the others for the conversations, experiences and adventures.
I really hope together we will keep this forum alive. I hope we will rise the 6" squadts to a demandable vinyl toy legent. To make them the most adorable toys of all time.

It's just a thought but I guess everyone is still feeling the emptyness inside.
I can only speak for myself but it feels like someone has gone for ever without having the chance to say good bye.
Don't know if it will be possible Ferg, but it would be a consolation to finalise the squadt era with a last tribute piece. A last squadt for everyone still in the game. For all the loyal supporters and squadt collectors making this forum going and keeping the madness alive for years. A last special piece for all stayed by your side.
If there is still some stuff left from the assemblies, prototypes, test or over productions and retailer releases, it will be a beautiful gesture to create a last bunch of unique Ferg builts. A possibility it accept and handle this loose, to say good bye and to finalize our 6" squadt collecting era with a last masterpiece from the king itself. This would be a worty end of a epic episode of the best vinyl toys of all time...

I am with Magpie on this one, a last ride would be the best fucking thing to say good bye to our prefered toys, a gallant last stand. What do you think about it Ferg?

On my side, I think about this end every day since the announcement. Even if there won't be any new releases in the future, I'll keep collecting and making customs. There is still squadts that I am searching for, builds I want to do and customs I want to make.

Ferg, you have created something big. Thank you for that and let's keep that alive alltogether.

Right we need a "Bye Fuckers" jack and chipp to end it off..I would pay whatever it took..haha..but I still don't wanna believe it..I'm in complete denial..

well said magpie, not sure if you saw my ig photo a few days ago but while i shot it i felt emptiness as well.
i kept posting and deleting multiple ig photos but none felt quite right.
i decided on the last one but still not quite what i wanted to convey (but perhaps it does).
anyways closure would be valued

i was wondering if the .5's are done as well?
is there any chance of mini docs?

Yeah I'd be in for a last one as well. Not in the best place financially at the minute but I'd sell almost anything to make it happen.

I grabbed both pf figs and bought 150 in clothes and weapons. I should grab up some of the lenses tho.

man as it is starting to hit me that there will no longer be any more squadts... I just keep thinking of all the weapons and accessories I hoped for that will never be.
