Today is the day

google is cheating!!! it sounds like last month congress would have said the passage of these two bills was almost a foregone conclusion. Lately there has been so much feedback that it sounds like congress is slowly backing away from this issue. Since its an election year, i can see both of these bills sitting in committees for a long time.

for those that may not know, i'm talking PIPA and SOPA, not sopaipillas

Google has to cheat so more people can get informed on exactly what SOPA and PIPA are.

For those of you that don't know. SOPA and PIPA are bills that among other things could get C&D shut down if any of you decide to use a copyrighted images as a forum avatar or post links to copyrighted content. The same is true for any site that may potentially contain a copyrighted image, regardless of how it is being used. Do you like YouTube, Reddit, Imgur, Facebook, etc? These bills are no joke, they could seriously fuck up all of our fun.

I suggest, if youre in the states, to write to your congressman and sign the petition. we're going to be remembered as the hippies of the internet. back when there where no rules.
