Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
The prototype for Churm is sitting right here, on my desk. Next stop, the resin casting studio, to start pouring silicone.
He may be only 5" tall, but he's very plump, so there's a lot to love. That is, if you have a thing for chubby worms.

Very cool! What colors are you planning to do? any chance of a glow in the dark one?

We're looking at GID, fluorescent, glitter, and other weird blends of craziness. There is no locked down plan yet for Churm, since we won't know if there's enough demand for multiple colorways. We'll find out.

GID Churm sounds good. Fluorescent too.

Well. Here he is. The first pull. I'd call it a test pull, but it came out so well, what the hell, it's a real pull.
Re: Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
I like it! Would love to see other colours as well though

Okay, so the Churms are a go, we've pulled enough for a run. We'll be grinding, polishing and paintings soon and we've switched from the amber clear to an opaque grey, since they are all going to be painted by hand by me.

Hey all. While the Churms are moving on to the next phase, I've been polishing up the prototype of another wee creature named "Deeli".

Re: Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
Is anyone interested in seeing the design stage of these creatures? I thought maybe I should be posting only physical photos - but there's more to see like sketches and digital sculpts.
Re: Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
All right, it's October, which means that "Monstober" is in full swing! This means making a quick monster every day for the entire month. Want to see them?
Re: Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
Love your monsters, I swear... I want to "Pilsbury Dough Boy" every one of them!
Re: Swetters' Grotesque Menagerie
The digital sculpts of these are incredible!
These lil' buggers are adorable!

"Leaving the Nest". This is one of the color tests for Birfy, in yellow this time. He'll be released as a 3.5" hand-painted resin figure, polybagged and hangtagged.
