Transformers!
I don't think a topic about Transformers toys has been discussed, so here goes!
I grew up watching Transformers as a kid and didn't really have many toys growing up but my mom was able to get me a Devastator set (my favorite character). There are a ton of spin offs of TFs over the decades but I'm still partial to G1/G2 being that I grew up watching those cartoons. Over the past several years, a line called the Masterpiece line has been coming out w/ a bunch of awesome toys as an homage to the original characters. They have great paint apps, amazing articulation and resemble the characters identically as to what I remember as a kid. I narrowed my TF collection down to only collecting Masterpiece figures, does anyone else collect TF figures?

A friend of mine does, he a kind of gangster and a REALLY big guy. Always dressed in blue with two pigtails.
And yeah he collects em too, it's soooooooo much fun going with him to pick em up. That HUGE bad-ass MF walking out the door with a box and the grin of a teenage girl

Haha thats a hilarious image to imagine. Funny when people think of "collectors" of toys and such they have an image of some nerdy geeky dude.

Re: Transformers!
I followed 1st gen and thats about it, I was very young when that was already sindicated. The new animated series is ok, the 3D one from 15yrs ago was fun too.
Michale bay can go eat it for all I care. The new designs look more like bionic-insectoids than bulky cars and airplanes and what-not that turn into bulky robots.

I totally agree. The new movies are cool and all to a certain extent but Michael Bay ruined it, could've made them look just as cool using their original counterparts.

Re: Transformers!
I've got a few of the older ones. Omega supreme and some insecticons somewhere in a box.
I collect the masterpiece line too but haven't gotten any recently.
right now I have the first masterpiece prime, the first starscream, megatron, and grimlock. All of them are the takara versions in the black cardboard boxes. I was giddy like a schoolgirl when I brought home megatron.

Ya, my detolfs are running outta space too! I only collect the Hasbro releases of the Masterpiece line, Takara's version are too costly unfortunately but I do enjoy the nicer packaging they come in. I also collect some third party Transformers, I have a big ass TFC Hercules (Devastator). My grail TF.

Re: Transformers!
Oh duh I've got the aftermarket perfect effect Reflector(is that the camera's name) And I got the aftermarket arms and head for the G1 Ironhide as well as the remake of Ironhide.
Oh and I have jizaitoys wheelie and cyclonus.
As well as the remake versions of wheelie and Powerglide.
I got 2 wheelies because my daughter likes him. The jizaitoys versions were just too fragile to play with.

Re: Transformers!
bumping this because i think its relevant.
Have any of you seen/heard about the new blind boxes released by the Loyal Subjects?
They are kind of simple in design, but i think they are really cute! Plus theres a whole bunch of SDCC exclusives coming in diff sizes too.
I will be picking some up. What do you all think?

I think it looks cool but I was never a fan of the super deformed figures.
