Keeping track of your collection Empty Keeping track of your collection

I've been curious; how does everyone do it?

I know there are sites like Trampt and Rotocasted, which are great. Do you have accounts there? Are they your primary means of keeping up with your collections? Do you keep lists? Excel spreadsheets?

I'm having trouble keeping up with mine. I'm terrible at Excel; I've always kept a Word document list, which sucks, but was necessary. Been a while since I've updated though, and it's a headache.

I have Trampt and Rotocasted and keep both fairly updated, but both sites are missing tons of what I own, and taking the time to add it all is a hassle.

So, how do you do it? How often do you update your lists?

I use Trampt... There is a ton of stuff I have thats not in the library, but its still pretty great. One day I will stop being lazy and add the items they are missing. Thanks for the reminder I need to go update it. You can peep my collection, or add me if you'd like I'm SQUEE there too...

But... Really I only seriously collect from like 6 artists, so I pretty much know what I have and need. I can pretty much tell you who or where they all came from as well.
My name is SQUEE and I'm a addict. Toys and art are my drugs. lol!

Damn I wish I had this problem. Last night I actually bought my first toy that Rotocasted( have the same username as here) didn't have. It's the NYCC Rampage Toys Manotaur and I can't wait to get him so I can add to the library. Hopefully one day my collection becomes problematically large!!

Lol. The stuff I'm actively collecting I can keep in my head, but I need a full inventory. I'm moving, and I want to make sure it all makes it to the new place. Plus it's a good idea for insurance purposes, or so I figure.

My name on Trampt is also Kittenpixe! Add me if you wish <3

Does anyone keep Excel spreadsheets anymore?

I am not very good with Excell but I have some people that work under me that can do some pretty great stuff with it. I can probably get one of them to draw something up for you, just let me know what you are looking for.

Thank you! I don't think Excel is idea for me, though. I think I'm gonna have to stick with Trampt and Word lists, lol!

I have an excel spreadsheet with names, artist and price paid. It's just a matter of doing it once and keeping it update.

It also shows the total value of my collection for insurance purposes. It works for me.

That's an excellent idea, keeping the prices as well. I hadn't thought of that, but it's so obvious, hahaha!

Same here. I'm an Excel geek.

I have a spreadsheet for each artist: Ferg, Peters/Olivas, Course, etc...

Then in each spreadsheet, I have a tab for each line of figures for the particular artist: for Ferg its Squadts, K-11s, Squadt Accessories.

For each line of figures I have a row for each figure release: gassed 001, nozzle 0001, gohst 0001, etc

For each row I have the image of the figure, the release year, the edition size, the original drop price, and if ally what I paid for it and from where it was purchased.

I also color code them to show which ones I have, which ones I need to get, and which ones I will not collect.

As you can guess, every squadt is labeled "Bought"

I also collect the 8" dunnys but some are shown as "Don't Want"

Loner knows his shit. Great way to do it. I am unable to spend so much time on it myself, because I suck at formatting on it.

Not relevant, but I love your avatar. Jessica Rabbit is my hero. To this day, in the shower I sing "Why Don't You Do Right?" in the most sultry voice I can muster.

Let me assure you it is NOT as sexy as it sounds in theory.

I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.
