My first attempt at putting a custom graphic on a shirt using Avery DARK transfer paper.

The image came out a little big and would really look better on a white shirt.

Here is my first attempt at using Avery LIGHT fabric transfer paper.

The image didn't come out very cleanly.  I also should have read the directions first before I started printing the image.  You are supposed to *FLIP* the image first before you print it and then iron it on FACE DOWN, which is completely different from the DARK fabric transfer paper.

I think the fabric transfer paper for dark colored clothing is much easier to use and it's also cheaper than the light.

The dark you print out regularly and is like a sticker. You just have to be careful when peeling off the backing. It's really easy to iron on.

The light you have to print out in reverse. It's hard to keep it in place and also difficult to tell when you've ironed it enough because you can't see it through the white paper. I think I ironed the MFC image too long because some of it smeared.

The result light paper wasn't as good as the dark but you really don't have a choice because it depends on the color of the fabric that you are using.

I don't think whether it is light or dark paper determines whether you have to print out in reverse or not.  I have both dark and light paper that you just peel the backing paper off and iron on right side up.

Love the MFC shirt BTW. Very Happy I could really do with another lime green lens.  They look so good on the TG with that shirt.
