Actually, aside from having the same characters, the new Star Trek movie has nothing to do with the original series or the movies. You shoulda just gone to see the new one. After watching the first 7 movies tho, you will be surprised at how exciting and fresh the new movie seems compared to the old ones.

Star Trek kicked ass, saw it opening weekend and it blew us all away. God bless J.J. Abrams. As far as GR movies, I always go back to Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Good shit, that.
