Re: Music Thread
I think she's the best thing to happen to pop music in ages. Not necessarily musically, but at least she keeps it interesting. I would rather kill off Britney, Madonna, Matchbox 20, Black Eyed Peas, and about 200 other insipid and interchangeable pop stars/acts and leave her intact.

Re: Music Thread
Man, I have to dj at a top 40 dance club. It's so brutal waking up with that bitch's tunes looping in my head. Yeah she's keeping pop music interesting, but fuck, it's doing me in. If it's not "Just Dance" , it's "Poker Face". MAKE IT STOP!!dreamattack27 wrote:I think she's the best thing to happen to pop music in ages. Hahaha, yeah I DJ at a top 40 dance club too!! And trust me, if I fucking Just Dance one more time... but still I would rather play that than some piece of shit by Fergie or that god-awful new Madonna shit. And yeah, top 40 pays a hell of a lot better than most!

I'm finally conforming to Serato. Was very difficult to switch from vinyl to CDJs and now I must keep up with the times. Aside from the Jeremy Fish picture control discs, is there any other lowbrow artist doing them? Anyone?
Re: Music Thread
I loves me some Jeremy Fish. jamungo should totally get in on that action. As far as Serato is concerned, that is way over my desires or abilities. I spin with CDJ and I'm happy doin it. If I didn't spin at a club that had the equipment already I would maybe switch over, but there's no need as is.

Sweet memories
Remember a gig way back in time with 108 and Refused

Re: Music Thread
Oh man, i fuckin love that track. Refused was great, loved the I.N.C. as well. I used to play that video when i was dj-ing a punk night a few years back. I loved freakin out the unsuspecting regular clientele. Speaking of socialist-leaning rock, i saw Manic Street Preachers last night, fucking FANTASTIC. I've wanted to see them since their first record came out, some 17 (!) years ago. Was worth the wait. If you haven't heard it, check out their latest record "Journal for Plague Lovers.". It's phenomenal.

I used to love this kind of music, but these days I can only take screamo bands in small doses. I get where this genre came from but but geez this is one case where a particular genre of music eventually does sound all alike. Recently there has been a lot of imitation and little innovation.
Besides its hard to pull any meaning out of their socially charged music video if I can't understand a damn thing the singer is saying.
