My son made a mini lego sqube. Not quite as accurate, but that's not his fault. They don't make legos small enough for that.

I started to build one a while back, but I got tired after the first two layers

So I've decided that I'm going to re-make this all in one color. I'm also going to add 2 layers to each step in the other big project. That means I need to add 2 layers to every single thing I've built. ugh. hahaha

Legos are great! I never had any when I was a kid, but my cousin had tons.

i SO BADLY wanted to buy enough legos to do this when i went to nyc last month,
but the lego store at rockefeller center just didn't have the pieces i needed to be
able to do it in one color! (and the lego store on michigan ave here in chicago is
even worse as far as loose bricks go...)

but definitely awesome to see one all done up! and excited to see one done in a
single color, too.

check the bay, loads of people on there sell bags and bags of the same color. I can't imagine the patience it takes to separate those tiny blocks by color.

I have a love hate relationship with legos, and parents know what I'm talkin' bout. Legos are your worst nightmare when walking into a kids room barefoot. THOSE LITTLE FUCKERS HURT on a barefoot, especially at 2am!

I fucking LOVE legos. Always did. They used to piss me the fuck off when I was a kid because I always bought the bigger and more complex stuff, so it was a nightmare assembling it all.
I still have a bunch, will see if I put a mini sqube together with one color.

Little observation: you can always use a airbrush and some acrylics on the blocks, if you can't find single color blocks.
