Gohst S002 Skellesuit - Odd issue?

Hey guys,


A quick question my side. I bought a new Gohst Skellesuit from eBay (first purchase! WOOT!) One problem, the helmet doesn't fit over the head snuggly, AT ALL?! I can't even force it on! It goes about half way, and then gets stuck. Perhaps an issue of the opening shrinking over time, as it's been stuck in the box? Has this perhaps happened to anybody else before? I've tried my other helmets on the body (Germ & Frozen Nozzel) and they fit over the head perfectly. As expected, the Gohst helmet does not fit over their heads' either.

Bit bummed, but it's not a major train smash. But now my poor Gohstie has scuff marks from me trying to get the helmet over. Any solutions for this perhaps? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Edit : Had the missus take a look. We compared Germs and Skellies helmet. The hole in Germ's helmet is definitely deeper, so the head can slot in perfectly. With Skellie, it's not near as deep. Was this normal? It's much older than any of my other Squadts, so hence the question. Thanks guys!

Mne is the same.

I believe hair dryer / heat gun to soften the helmet will help.

Ah thanks Chaps! I really should have posted about this sooner, could have avoided the scuff marks.

Try mr clean's magic eraser, it might get rid of it, depending on the severity of the mark.

What are these erasers and how do they work? Can they harm the vinyl, smell or paint job?

Ps sorry to hear about the scuffing!

You might have trouble finding them overseas. Try ebay if you can't find them in a store. They're great for removing paint scuffs. It shouldn't damage the vinyl as long as it isn't painted.

Yeah I found some on eBay! What do you mean as long a it's not paint? Do you mean it will help if it isn't paint that's the issue?

I believe they are saying that it is safe to use on a vinyl or plastic that is colored, but if you use it on a toy that has paint on top of vinyl you could be in danger of accidentally removing some paint.

I hope that was clear.

Yeah that's what I meant. For example...it would work great on a regular squadt's helmet, but I wouldn't use it on a trouble boy.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'll try source those erasers from eBay, as I doubt they are available in South Africa.

On a random note, my NKD Jack that I won on Ebay (2nd purchase) arrived yesterday! Stoked! Now all thats left is a Chipp, Playge Doc, Gassed and Copperhead Squadt. Then i'll have all the helmet types!

These erasers are basically sand paper.

They are micro-abrasives. They can damage vinyl and you shouldn't use them on any painted vinyl surface as they will easily remove the paint. They do not smell.

ive seen them take autographs off vinyl too
surprised me because i would have expected the ink to leech into the plastic
