clear lens color change?

So, I successully removed my Copperhead lense grill & want to dye the lense to that really cool sky blue color seen in the image linked below, only I still want to retain its translucency.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this as I'm a complete noob when it comes to customizing.

translucent spray paint. or some kind of tinting plastic with a wash.

any idea where we can get the paint and the tools

i wanna fix one of my squadt, seems like the the paint on its feet has dropped

I was asking about dyeing clear lenses in another thread and was recommended Rit Dye. Did a bit of research and looks like it would work pretty well- though still not got round to trying it as the dye is harder to come by here in the UK. Should keep the translucency as well.

Let us know how you get on- the blue lense always looked great in that teaser pic- wonder why it didn't stay that colour when realeased?

Testors makes transparent spray paint

Rit dye is supposed to work well. I'm gonna be trying it soon.
