Re: GERM s003 [NUUK]
I ended having to go the source by circuit city since walmart was out of the batteries. $12 for two. So now not only do I have a Nuuk with a missing spring, I also have $12 worth of useless batteries. This has been a very frustrating day.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. It look like there was a solder or weld mark there before.

i noticed one of the boardies actually took the helmet apart in 2....if you have to solder it, it would be easier to get access to it to fix it.

Thanks for the advice man! After fighting with it for another few hours I finally got it to work.

Re: GERM s003 [NUUK]
got my little nuukie today. No batteries yet so I put him with a friend.
Just wanted to see what the joints were. He's pretty stiff right now.
Thanks Ferg, he's cool!
Question for everyone else though. Can the helmets scratch the heads much? I'm always readjusting them, and with this one, the battery panel sticks out. Hmm, actually I think I might just line it with some felt... Answered my own question. I just had a look at my first Squadt, a tiny scuff mark. Would it be too thick to line the entirety of the helmet? Anyway awesome stuff, think I might have to try and save for that retail one.

The reason for this is that I just received the parcel force £15 customs fee despite me asking to mark it down, disappointed to say the least...

Mine was customs-fee free, sometimes it's hit and miss. For what value was it marked?

phew, I found it under the couch. I thought something fell out when I took him out, but didn't look hard enough, and when I saw two just figured it was one of those things...

How to put the tiny batteries in to the helmet of NUUK
Hi, I'm having a hard time to put the batteries into NUUK helmet because of big hand/thick fingers. Also the spring seems to occupy 3/4 of the space. It is very hard to put to button batteries in. Tips, tools and suggestions for putting batteries in are highly appreciated. Thanks.

I didnt have to pull the helmet apart at all. I put one battery in first and the slid the second one and left the other battery with the second one and went in without a problem.....
i had to read this to get them in as well
i dropped one in by tilting the mask a bit
then i slipped the 2nd in between the 1st and the plastic part of the mask (not the spring side)
and of course once they went in i screwed up cause the positive/negative were wrong and had to do it over lol
good luck fiddling

Thanks for the tip. It is very helpful. I tilted the mask and let the gravity do the work for the first battery followed by sliding the 2nd battery in. Put them in on the the 4th try.
