Been rebuilding a JDM motor I bought a couple of months ago. Started it up today and it started on the FIRST crank! Had to do some adjustments, but I was expecting to waste the entire weekend messing with the timing and what not.

That's awesome man, I literally just finished rebuilding a motor I bought of craigslist. It was a complete nightmare though...ran into so many problems putting it back together. I was stoked to start it and it did first try but with a horrible misfire due to switched coil wires on the distributor  so I killed the distributor with that fail. Then i get a new distributor and discover a vacuum leak causing a cel which I finally sorted this afternoon!! Now I finally have a running car after 4 months  glad to see someone else is into wrenchin. What car is your motor in?

I got a 91 Miata and I just swapped in the same type of motor because CA isn't as fun as other states. This car will eventually be my track car when I pick up another DD (Crossing fingers on a 2015 wrx). Once that happens LS1 or 302

I ran into a lot of problems as well during my build. My car is OBDI, but the motor was OBDII, so I literally had to transfer all the smog equipment, modify my alternator because my new crank pulley is a serpentine and the alternator was a V-belt. The threads didn't match the bolts, so I had to retap a bunch of things. There's a whole lot more BS, but it's done and over.

In MN we got Juicy Lucys, and there is a big competition in town as to who has the best. Matts Bar and The Nook are Legendary. Nook is my fave. Basically it's American cheese trapped between two patties... Cooked rareish as to not let the cheese out. Just a greasy, drippy fucking mess...and the best thing ever. April every year they do a Homer version where the bun is a glazed doughnut cut in half and flipped over.  

Man that sounds amazing, I've seen those places on the food network and always wanted to try em out!

hap-ki-do sir!
I started with tae kwon do about 7 or 8 years ago.  Studied it for 3 years and was about to take my black belt test.  Then had some scheduling issues and ended up joining the hap-ki-do school.  It sucked starting over as a white belt again but it made it that much more gratifying when I finally got my black belt.  I could still go back to the tae kwon do school to take the black belt test.  Then I'd have 2 different black belts....but I've forgotten a lot of my tae kwon do training.  

I prefer hap-ki-do anyway.
