I've been at a new job since October 1st, doing financial services for State Farm. So far I love it! Entirely new field and great working environment/co-workers. If y'all need some advice, lmk. I've learned a lot these past 2 months.

This building has been in my town my whole life and they just knocked it down but before they did these guys got in there took some vids..Legend has it ..lol.. the dude was a little wacked out and used to be rich as shit and built this penthouse with no windows on top of a huge glass bank in the middle of cocoa beach..we had a few hurricanes and the building got messed up and the condemned the place..he refused to leave so for like 8 years the building went to shit and he kept on living there.. the city tried and tried to kick him out but they kept loosing..finally last year they passed a bill to level the building..but he wouldn't leave..they were stuck in a stalemate..then one night  while on his way from his car to the penthouse elevator (100 feet walk) he decides to blow his brains out in the parking lot..sound a little fishy to anyone else or is it just me?? ..lol..anyway i always heard stories about how lavish and fancy this place was but never got to get in before they knocked it down but these guys did..check it out..shits crazy..mansion ontop of a crumbling building..

Im pretty sure the building still had power and shit before he died..these vids are right before they knocked it down..but after he died it obviously got ransacked or someone trashed the place for god knows what reason and probably left a beer for the dead guy..lol.. and as for graffiti...all ill say is that building is a block away from the police station and on a strip of road called the "gauntlet" and a cop pretty much stays in the parking lot of it 24/7..lol..ive painted some crazy ass spots in my day but that ones pretty much a free trip to jail.. .. and its florida the crackheads just sleep on the beach in the dunes..

Mr. Sistersgrimm and I bought a house!!!

We close on the 29th but we have to sign early because Mr. will be in Florida most of next week. We've lived in the same shitty apartment complex (2 different units because renovations) for the past 10 years and have been looking unsuccessfully for about 3 years (note: california is awesome, but a terrible place to buy a house). First attempt was with a horrible agent who was just the worst. New agent found in February helped us a find a place super quick.

We have so much to do this week before he heads of to FL, but he also works 12 hours a day so who knows when we'll do any of that!

Forgive my rambling, I'm sitting here on the couch, taking a break from packing, looking at my super cluttered with boxes living room simultaneously terrified and excited.

Hopefully Mr. Sistersgrimm isn't eaten by alligators on his trip, he does like to temp fate. And, since its a business trip, fighting alligators might be more fun than the 'team building' dinner cruise.

Luckily the part of Cali we're from (and moving to) is old people suburbia. We only encounter hipsters when we head downtown, thank glob.

Congrats SG, that's a huge accomplishment! Absolutely right about buying a home in CA but where else can you drive an hour to snowboard and another hour in the opposite direction to surf? Wouldn't wanna live anywhere else!
