DETAILED GID PICS TUTORIAL
So, FREESTUFFTOO gifted me a GID Chipp Helmett, and asked me to do a more detailed tutorial as favor return
Here we go
For my GID sessions I use a compact camera Panasonic DMC-FX30 and a little tripod.
1/ To make the session, choose a place where you can be in the total dark. I use my bathroom.
Prepare all before. Put the toy you'll be making picture of in front of camera, this way you already have the camera in the right place, and note in your mind where to put the toy then
2/ When it's done, put the toys you're gonna make pics of , under the direct natural light of our good old sun. expose them during about 10-15 minutes
little more tip, some GIDs are more powerfull than other. So, for example in the case of the GID chipp : the GID CHIPP Helmett is a weak GID part, just as the arms, while the body and head (from GID NKD Nozzel) , is quite good and powerfull. So, as I wanted a same GID effect, I put off of the sun the body and head first, placed in the bathroom where I was taking pics, waited 2-3 minutes, and then I put the helmett on the head (helmett was still under sun untill the last moment) , and took my pics. Also, depending on GID power, you might put the figs under sunlight again before to make more pics. Makes sense ?
3/ Now you are about to make the pictures.
As for me, I use a automatic mode, called "Nocturnal Landscape" , which is part of the "scene modes" included in my camera programs. This Nocturnal landscape mode will have more light capture than normal mode (8 seconds instead of 1 second)
4/ For GID pics, you need a "zero moove thingy". I mean, if any moove of the camera, picture will be blurry. So, I use a tripod, and the self-timer of the camera (I choose 10 seconds, this way I have time )
5/ Before making the pics, make sure to have a total darkness. And don't hesitate to make several of the same shoot, then you'll choose the better.
As for this tutorial session, I made these
[img]https://2img.net/r/hpimg4/pics/588020P1200882.jpg[/img

6/ At this point the pics are quite good already, but you can make them a little better.
Go to the following online pics reworker. This one is pretty basic and easy.

<a href=[/img]http://labs.artandmobile.com/tiltshift/
You'll play with saturation, contrast, and brigthness. And after a bit of change, your pics will be a little better yet.
For comparison (before/after)

Re: GID Squadt Photos.
fluorescent light does the best trick at charging the vinyl. thanks for the tutorial!
And yeah, 3zero vinyl has to be the strongest stuff I have.

No, its the phosphor in the vinyl mix. In some instances it is literally radioactive materials being used, but thats on more expensive or specialized circumstances. So to some point, yes it decays like any radioactive element, but its not likely to happen in our lifetimes.
Re: GID Squadt Photos.
thanks, ive always wondered if charging them would shorten the gids lifespan
good to know

Intersting. I didn't know about this. So, a question, does these can be bad for health ? I mean, I have A LOT of GIDs in my room, and if it's radioactive material, better to know

Re: GID Squadt Photos.
I don't think so what he is talking about is phosphor with radium which you would only find in expensive pieces like watches now a days it's mixed with promethium
Our Gid vinyls only have phospher mixed into the vinyl like Gatiio said
