Re: 3A // Ashley Wood Thread
I like the design, but the colors are too adventure Kartel for me. Iuno, it all comes down to if I have money for it or not when it is released.
Re: 3A // Ashley Wood Thread
@CMB: yes, email cs, they'll help you out. CS helped me with pascha bear set purchase, even after the drop is done.
marquis the plume has an interesting design, but the color is not for me. but hey, maybe if there's a black version, I might give in. I tend to like their black counterparts . too many pouch tho

Re: 3A // Ashley Wood Thread
The reason I like it so much is the color! I got so tired of all the brown/black/grey/brown/black/white color scheme they seem to always release.
Hopefully they do have another color for those who need it!

Yea, I agree. It's nice to see some new colors although i'm not a big fan of the 3A figures, I do like the new dead cosmonaut and some of the robots like the berties. But like em or not, the detailing is always amazing.

3AA discount is ready for everyone who bought the 3AA membership last week. I sense a sale coming soon...

Discount always activates for the next sale, not an indication of an impending sale.
That said, they do pop two sales a month or so, so either way I think you are right on that.

Heh... Gone are the good old days when drops were more controlled and not so frequent. But I guess it's different folks, different strokes.

Completely agree with you. I feel now 3A is a more established brand and the hatchery needs to keep pumping out toys in order to meet costs. It makes sense from a business point of view and as long as they keep selling then its all game.
They have grown a lot and im glad for them, I heard for a bit quality was hurting, but it seems now theyre starting to go back to those impressive apps from way back to 3yrs ago.
These days, since they can produce toys in the thousands, I feel that being 3AA is not as valuable as when the drops where below a thousand. It still is a neat perk to have.
EDIT:
I was looking at my account for 2011 and 2012, and I have purchases in the double digits for both, for 2013 I only bought about 5 things and none of them where toys. Only apparel and books. I guess I am much more over it than I thought I was. LOL.
Re: 3A // Ashley Wood Thread
Yeah, hopefully Ash actually sticks with his promises and makes 3AA worthwhile again this year! Better exclusives and what not! If not you always get 15% off!!

Re: 3A // Ashley Wood Thread
@itsa: yeah no 1/12 since 1/8 is coming yes?
I've managed to cut down on 3A last year, looking forward to keep it strict this year too. Trying to narrow down my 3A collection
my 3A resolution? not tempted to click buy just because they are secret drops. yeah, my bad habit.

Yeah. My latest 3A figure is the damaged bromwich AP bertie, and it does look good (I would complain about the paint job on the pouches but I guess I can't have my cake and eat it).
Definitely, the newer 3A figures are easier to get on the secondary markets and it does push the prices down. But it's good for collectors. I remember that almost all the good 3A stuff was out of my wallet's reach when I joined in 2010.
