Casper_NY wrote:The last time i participated in an online release was with Kidrobot & i got screwed over soo bad. I was waiting for the release & i kept refreshing the page & even at the time of the release the button never changed from "coming soon" to "buy". I kept trying & trying thinking they hadn't put them up yet or there was some sort of error, but no luck. I went to another computer in my house & it said "SOLD OUT" So i contacted customer service & i was told that most likely what happened is my cookies saved the contents of the "coming soon" page & even tho i kept refreshing, that's what it kept showing me over & over again. So lo & behold i delete my cookies & what pops up , "SOLD OUT". Really hope it's not one of those times this time around -___-
The Squadt store is pretty user friendly, you just have to be quick.

They're all at least 4-6 weeks and they ship from china. Waiting is part of the fun!

This looks great! You just cannot go wrong with see-through green ooze.
I was just reading back through this thread. Why do people keep asking if they can buy more than one? I want to understand.
Ferg clearly states that it's one per person. On top of that, these pieces sell out quickly, so the limit is in the interest of spreading the Squadt-wealth among many. So pretending that there was no limit, why would you want two? What would you do with the second one?

Well most people didn't notice the limit such as myself this is the first I be live with a limit , most people buy double for people such as my self who are huge collectors , but can't make drops due too work or what ever the reason maybe . A lot of , us have taken turns picking up a drop here and there for each other . Reason is so we don't have too pay out ragouse prices.
So no one is pretending that there was no limit , just didn't realize be causes its new too the drops .
So if that helps you understand why , then great if not then idk how too explain it . Why don't you share your wealth and pick your one up for me !

Those asking for buying more than one posted before Ferg added detailed information for ordering. As to why buying more than one, dedicatedart's explanations are very legit and reasonable. Additionally, customizing and kitbashing comes to mind. But, of course, there is suspicion of selling the 2nd one in the aftermarket for a profit. But, if making a profit is the purpose, limiting one per customer will not prevent that from happening either.

dedicatedart, I would love to score one for you if this is not Terror Boy. But I'm a big fan of Brandt Peters X Ferg. I really need this one and am not sure if I can score one for myself since we are competing with Brandt's fans as well.

It does, thanks I don't have much in the form of financial wealth, but I do share my non-financial wealth...
Something I've been thinking about lately is the collecting addiction and the pursuit of happiness. Having the biggest, baddest collection feeds the ego and might create the illusion of happiness. But when you buy something, feel a fleeting sensation of victorious joy, and then instantly need to do it again to feel happy, something isn't right. I guess that's why I was wondering why people want to have two. But I like your answer about picking up a double for someone who misses the drop. Not only would you get the happiness of the toy you buy for yourself, but you get to make someone else happy. Win Win.

Yeah, these are reasons I personally don't like. I think it's weak to customize or kitbash a limited edition design that wasn't made with DIY/customizers in mind. Buy a blank toy or pour some resin and cast a replica. If an edition has thousands of figures, and collectors have a good chance to get one, sure I guess, go ahead and customize a second piece. But with figures that sell out in seconds, there's a clear demand for the designer's full vision. It's just a personal pet peeve.
As for buying a double to keep in a box while it grows in value OR to flip for a higher price to someone else, neither of these are good reasons to drop a second Benjamin. Buy the minimal amount of "stuff" that will make you happy. Something I'm trying out myself these days! It's tough!

Kit bashing is just a huge part of these guys though , but I understand both sides I've had doubles of stuff but sold them for what I've paid for them back too people for the most part .
