Really Anthony?? Kirby handles everything as fair as possible. That can't be said for some stores!
We took names and will be checking to verify no one double dips.

Re: ASSEMBLY 20
Hello everybody. Just found out about this forum over the weekend thought I should sign up.
This was my first chance to go to one of the Squadt assemblies at Rotofugi, which is a shame since I live right down the street, but I was always away when they happened.
Anyhow, I almost missed this one too till I found out I could just go on Sunday, and luckily the parts I was interested in were not sold out. I had one Squadt that I picked up a year or so ago at Rotofugi, and have really wanted to get more, but I collect a lot of 1/6 scale figures and collecting in general is just expensive, so sometimes I gotta pick and choose unfortunately.
Finally, Byo isn't lonely anymore.
....sorry about the terrible cellphone pic.

Not a bad idea, though i'm not entirely sure how I'd implement it because there's no way I could guarantee there would be anything left to build by day 2 or three and we'd just be building false hope.
Either way, some good news for those holding out hope (sigh)....not a lot of orders yet from the first round of "winners" ... only down two 6 inchers and one 20 inch so far. They've got until 5pm to get an order in and then we change the password and send out round two emails. I suspect by the end of round two the 20 inchers may be gone, but at this rate, maybe not...I think we had a lot of more "casual" Squadt Fans enter the lottery this time.
Also...last thing, I swear, realize I made a typo before...total lottery entries were 234, not 224...but we've also had quite a few people bow out gracefully because they or a mule were able to snag stuff for them.

Hello and thank you.
And thanks again for helping me out with the little (tiny) problem I had.
Edit: Ok, how did I end up "Mary Jane Rottencrotch".....lol,
Billy Bob Rotten Crotch would make more sense......only gender wise.

Re: ASSEMBLY 20
Will open season on Friday be open to the remaining lottery entrants only, i.e. the non-attendees of Assembly20, or is it full on open season? Will this be at 5PM CST again?rotokirby wrote:To put this in perspective (which I know doesn't make it any easier) there were 224 lottery entrants.
10 people have been notified as of now.
10 more tomorrow.
10 more Thursday.
Everyone gets a crack on Friday, though there will almost positively be no bodies left at that point.
I get that it's frustrating but we do our best to make it fair and transparent.

Re: ASSEMBLY 20
I do not usually post about things like that, except for saying "thank you for the opportunity" (and I never won any lottery^^). It is always frustrating for a collector to miss some stuff just because not being able to attend to a show (because of many things, like living thousand miles away). But at this point, Kirby do his best to make things the right way, he has to take decision and can't give everybody what everybody wants. The only thing I have to say, in my humble opinion, is that lottery should be for, and only for, CAD members (that will limit people asking for every friends to enter the lottery to get more chances). Then remaining items available for everyone on Rotostore after that. Just my two cents, would be more fair.

Re: ASSEMBLY 20
I know Kirby is in a difficult position here... but I would have been happy to give a $200 (minimum build price for a 6"?) deposit when entering the lottery to show my interest/commitment.
As it stands, just 30 people will get a chance to buy via the lottery and so there's every chance that I will be in the 204 who won't get their first opportunity until it's opened up on Friday to the rest of the world... and I'm assuming that includes those who have the experience of the build process when they got their 20" and 6" from the show. I could go further with the experience bit, e.g. when they gave instructions to partner, family member, friend, mule, etc!!
Not to put a downer on this but I think I will end up paying super inflated prices on eBay for the odd accessory and my collection will be without an Assembly 6" or 20"
Bring the show to Europe... please, please, please

I was about to write something in this way.
The major focus for me is that Ferg and Kirby always try to make us happy and get stuff.
This being said, with an assembly quite smaller than the first one, and after a long wait from us all CADers (not much releases lately, due if I'm correct to the issues with Threezero and the work on this assembly) , just seeing all this awesomeness from far, and at last with a big chance to not grab anything, can be hella frustating, and make us CADers supporting the thing from years, feeling a bit "put aside"
So yes, something "CADers" first would have been nice, in my vision, better to see someone who really loves the thing grabbing stuff, than people who cares less, or just try to get stuff to flip it then.
but well, part of the game, we have to accept it
And also, some "European love" would'nt hurt !
