Crappy Cat Defects
How common is it for Crappy Cat to have a dent in his head? I've seen a few like that on Ebay ... and unfortunately I just opened one. Hopefully I'll get a replacement quickly, easily, and without me being out a bunch on shipping.

all four of mine are mint. No defects, good luck.
Re: Crappy Cat Defects
I haven't recieved any defects. All of mine arrived mint, two from Jamungo and one from TaintedVisions.
I have also seen the defects on eBay. I find it odd that the only place that is selling "defects" is Plastic Matador. Not saying that there is anything fishy going on, but it just seems a little suspicious. Crappy Cat's head is fairly sturdy, it seems like the "defects" must have been at the top of a palette left under some kind of heating source.
I have been tempted to buy one and just hold him upside down while I use a hot hairdryer to soften the head and see if that causes it to regain its original shape.

Plastic Matador is an upstanding guy, I met him at my first SDCC. He lives in Canada. Not sure the reasoning behind the defects, maybe he got a shipment and the box they came in was damaged in shipping?

I've never had a problem with any Crappy Cat ever. And Plastic matador is indeed very very cool.

I did not mean to imply he was trying to pull anything.
Its just funny that he seems to have the only defects for sale (maybe other retailers returned them?) also all of his defects have the same kind of deformation, the top of the head is bowing in like it was exposed to heat (or displayed in a very warm window). The Crappy cats he is selling defects for are from several different releases so I don't think its a matter of one set of boxes getting damaged during shipping. He has defects for the Mono, Original, Tuff Luck & Beaterman crappy cats. At least, thats what I have seen on eBay so far.
Re: Crappy Cat Defects
I've only herd of a couple damaged out of the box joints. Clearly CrappyCat got drunk, highjacked a police car, got caught, resisted arrest, broke free to make a run for it, only to be tazed and fall 6 stories onto a hotdog cart. Hit me with a PM for defects and we will get you sorted out straight away.

No worries, didn't think you were trying to imply anything! Very odd, maybe he had his too close to the radiator?

Re: Crappy Cat Defects
my tuff luck showed up like this. I thought about it for a day and came up with this great idea that I would poke a small hole and blow into the cat to push out the dent.
Got to my office the next day and the indention had removed itself. I think it has to do with elevation/pressure changes and the fact that the parts fit together so snug that no air gets in. Poke a tiny pinhole that isn't visible or wigglet the joints to get air in. Or just give it a day or two out of the package and I bet it fixes itself.
Yes, I was going to blow my crappy cat! Luckily it didn't come to that.

Re: Crappy Cat Defects
Hey Colossus, did the dent come out of the Crappy Cat's head?
Did you try any of the tricks (poke a hole) or anything like that?
I want to know, because if its true that the head can be easily fixed I wanna get me one of those cheap eBay Crappy Cats

COD, give us an update. Did you return it, or did you manage to get the dent out?
one of my boys had a dent/flat spot on his head. this is how we are fixing it.

Hahaha. VB hooked me up. ATTENTION: FERG AND VANBEATER ARE FUCKING AWESOME! To answer your question: I will go with a hard, firm, commanding, not-at-all wishy-washy ... sorta kinda. I pushed really hard on the sides of his head and after a long time his head started to change. It never got all the way back to it's original shape, however. It's sort of flat instead of rounded out. Will probably make for a good custom, but I wouldn't buy one of those ebay ones unless you don't mind displaying a Crappy Cat that looks kind of dump-headed.

Uhhmmm. Survey says "no." I also didn't recommend that you push really freaking hard on the sides of his head.
