Noob questions
Hi all,
My girlfriend and I are new to collecting Buds. I was wondering if anyone knew of a link or page where we could find pictures of all the BOTM, the chase figs from each series and special editions so we can try and hunt down the ones we want.
As well, we would like to find any links on how to customize the buds.
Thanks

There are probably 3 different threads on here with a list of all things jamungo. I believe Jorester's is the most complete. As far as customizing, it's the same as customizing any vinyl. Welcome. where are you from?

We're from Regina Saskatchewan. My girlfriend was already into the collectible vinyls scene and introduced me.
As far as customizing the buds, can they stand the heat if we wanted to add some sculpey to a bud? Scupley needs to be baked at 275 degrees, do you know if the bud's plastic can withstand that?

Maybe if you bake them longer at much lower heat. The 9" ones get fairly pliable pretty quick though so they might deform before your sculpy hardens. The sculpy itself might cause the BUD to deform since it seems to get very very hot while it bakes. The 3" ones are a bit sturdier (haven't tried a clear or GID one) but I doubt they can take much heat for very long either.
A better product than Scuply for customizing vinyl is Magic Sculp. It is worked exactly like a fine grained clay (including thinning in water) and hardens in air over 24 hours. When dry it is hard like stone, much harder and able to retain fine detail than Sculpy. When dry it can be sanded, drilled painted etc, and it has excellent adhesion to all kinds of material including vinyl and plastic. I buy mine on eBay (just search for Magic Sculp, or Magic Sculpt) or you can find it in a few limited locations online such as : http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=110
As for instruction.. well you can find some tips and see what other people have done in the Customs forumn.

Its awesome stuff for a lot of things, and its really no more expensive than Sculpy and it has the benefit that you do not have to bake it.
The only downside to Magic Sculp is that it is hard to find places that carry it.
I usually get min on eBay from this guy:

Re: Noob questions
Know a place where you can buy it online cheaper? That also ships to the US?
His prices are not the best I can find, but it is definitely easier to order via eBay than deal with giving credit card numbers to a guy over the phone plus his shipping is fairly reasonable ($10 for 10lbs of Magic Sculp).
