I never saw this idea before. A nade trying to light a Bud and a Bud trying to pull a nade's pin. That is genious stuff right there. Laughing
Really great work.

When I thought of the idea I was surprised that I could not find this concept out there. I thought it was fairly obvious so it doesn't surprise me in the least that it was mentioned by another. Oh well.

YAY!!! you signed up here. I did a thing in paint shop pro with the duel destruction idea, but it had a wedding theme. The bride was the bud and she got her RING, haha and the husband was lighting her wick on fire. The bride's head was a ball and chain attached to his leg. I currently have someone bringing that to life. Whereas both pieces have the pulled pin/lit wick concept, I think they are completely different customs. I love this. I thank you wholeheartedly for doing a great job. Can't wait to see it in person.

I will say again before you click on this link, I don't have mad skills.

I don't think that's a bad illustration at all. My skills are a bit rusty in that department. Good concept too. Would be interesting to see what else people can dig up of the bud vs nade concept. Anyone else know of any customs like this?

Artistic skill, like any craft is something that gets better with use. Some people are more talented at it than others and learn it quicker, but there is no reason that everyone cannot make compelling artwork with a little time and practice. This is 5 years of Art School and another 5 years working as a designer/illustrator talking Wink

wacko, I completely agree. I actually don't think think artistic skill has anything to do with talent. I think talent is mearly a by-product of time and perseverance. It's like exercising. Do it long enough and with enough frequency and you with get stronger at it. The "talent" that people talk about I think is with the conceptual aspect of art. And that I think is probably a skill that can be learned. A great example is Salvador Dali. Technically speaking he was not at his peak until his 60's but conceptually he was stronger than most even as a young boy. So I tell every person who cannot draw a stick figure that it does not matter. If they want to be an artist it is simply up to themselves to practice and learn and do. I think this applies to everything in life.

Woah, sorry about that.

The idea was originated by Ferg or VB. I remember an interview where they were talking about a whole spy vs. spy thing. I don't recall seeing an illustration of the nade vs bud until the one I did in the link. As far as what has hit our community, I'm pretty sure yours is the first actual completed custom of this nature. There is someone currently working on the "Ball and Chain" concept in my illustration. The way you did yours gave ME the feel of a sports style statue a la, Rocky Balboa, Michael Jordan, ect. Like a true monument for Buds and Nades. Once again.....I love it, and thanks for doing it for me.

For everyone else........just to be perfectly clear.......I did not share this concept with Kevin. He thought of this on his own. I simply sent him a bud and a nade and offered nothing but complete artistic freedom.
