Re: muffinman's HOG SQUADT
How did you do the eyes?
I am looking for a very clean (and preferably easy) way to do custom Squadt eyes.

Re: muffinman's HOG SQUADT
Damn!! That looks awsome dude. Awsome finish, it does look like a production peice. This has to be the best custom squadt out there. Great job Is it for sale, or was it done for a private collector?

Re: muffinman's HOG SQUADT
Is it just me or did you cut the helmet's eye sockets so that you could see his eyes under the lenses? Man that's a nice detail

Re: muffinman's HOG SQUADT
again: THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the kind words!
i'm glad you like him. now here's some asswers to dem quesshions you axed:
the add-on sculpting on the helmet was done using sheet styrene, aves apoxie and automotive body filler. then quite some time was spent on sanding, priming, sanding and priming again and then some sanding and priming...
zelda power to you, colossus! it WAS a gassed. hope i don't get drawn and quartered for maiming it...
yes, it will be for sale once it's finished. haven't settled on a price... maybe an auction? dunno yet.
the eyes were done using inkjet waterslide decals. that's pretty much as easy as it gets.
yes, that's exactly what i did. i love that, depending on the angle from which you view the figure, the expression subtly changes when
you can see the eyes through the helmet. eyes painted in the sockets don't have that effect.
i was a very naughty boy and made a silicone mold of GASSED's lenses and cast them in dyed crystal clear resin to kinda match the hue of the coat.
i really appreciate your interest, y'all!
have to go back to work now.
cheers

Don't want to know about the butt sex but I am interested on knowing how you made the helmet so smooth. Looks like a production piece. Great job!!!

Re: muffinman's HOG SQUADT
thanks, manny!manny wrote:The gun is awesome! How did you make it?
i scratchbuilt the gun using renshape for the butt-end, aluminium tubing for the barrels and styrene tubing
for the scope bits. plus a bit of apoxie, body filler, primer and paint.
i really appreciate all your comments, guys.Admin wrote:the color choices are so nice.
but FERG, you don't know how much this particular comment means to me,
since i think that choosing colours that work well together is the hardest thing in the world -
at least for me. so here's a big extra THANK YOU for that.
