With this system though, the only people who would likely be able to get a Blue GID would be the people with deep pockets. And as the fucking flipper community shows, fucking flippers are willing to spend money just so they can charge two or three times retail later on to the people who missed out.

In other words, a true fan might not be able to spend the $375 it takes to get a blue GID, but a flipper wouldn't mind spending that much because they know they would likely be able to sell the blue GID alone for $200-250, and then they could just jack up the price on the QPMNT PACs people might also have missed out on. Hell they could even likely sell the regular NKDs for at least $100 each later on. Their initial $375 investment could net them $750 if the QPMNT Pacs sell for at least $50 which they probably would.

Random is better.

i'd marginally agree on your profit number if this was the only way to get the QPMNT pac #4, but are we sure about this?

also, i can't see the NKDs going for $100 later on considering this open type of release, plus flippers wouldn't net this amount after e-bay and paypal fees

i still prefer randoms because I don't want to worry about unloading the extra NKDs and i'd rather pay up for the GID

It would be interesting to see that people who only bought singles will get the blue Gid. Those whow bought mutiples gets nothing:-)

Also even though this is an open release there will still be a very limited number of Squadts produced, so unless Ferg says there will be more of this particular Squadt produced later it is still a collectible item. Even some older Squadts that didn't do well in the 3rd party market, such as the Skelesuit Squadts have been selling for over $100 recently so it is safe to assume that these Squadts will be worth $100 to someone at some point.

Just pulled the trigger on my third one. Man these things are addicting but so Awesome I can't help myself!!! I feel like Indiana Jones and I don't want to choose poorely. A Grail would be nice but qpmnt pac 4 is pretty ruthless in itself. I LOVE IT!!!(one more closer to 617) The ski masks are totally insane.
