sounds fair in those terms. But I highly doubt that if you got an offer for an item, you would say "no, let me sell you that for a cheaper price." If you do, then you may be the kindest person in the world. I'll take what I can get

I noticed the person took the $225 "Buy Now" off the auction.But people have to understand basic Supply and Demand.The Squadts that im looking for i have no problem paying the prices that im pying for them because i want them.But i was thinking to myself the other night that i wouldnt pay the $225 buy out as to me its to high but $150 i would pay it.

well hey, we all have our own opinions. I'm not gonna judge people for their idea of flipping. I feel that a person flipping would have to do it numerous times to be deemed as such. I just want people to know the FULL story before commenting

It's hard to say what's right and wrong. I only buy Squadts for ME. I don't buy extras and than offer them up for profit. Since what we get from Jamungo is so limited it seems a bit depressing to find that CAD members are buying these for profit. Just an opinion. You do what your conscience says is right.

Although in the case of the last drop...I bought two, hoping one would be the chase, one regular. If I get two regulars, I'll post one of them for sale here.

I get that. At AFTimes we do COST plus SHIPPING. It makes for a cohesive community where you know you won't get ripped off. I just have a problem with CAD members who buy to sell. I know you really can't stop it but it still is something that is frustrating. Go buy something else and screw others. I know most of us here love Ferg's stuff and want it for our collections. Profit shouldn't be a reason to buy. Just my opinion.[u]

I think there's a big difference between what you did FDRotor and the people who list the item on ebay 5hrs after the drop for twice the price We know you tried here on CAD first. Its all good.

Good lord. Someone just posted a Germ on the Bay with a $250 B.I.N. and started the bid at $225...........

This is ridiculous - my only hope is that more show up on the bay to saturate the market a little and get the price to go down.

i mean i have to say i did not offer 175$ for the germ, i offered 150$ ,you said 175$, i said 160$, then finally you said no ill see how the auction goes happy bidding =). then i messged you back and said fine then 175$ shipped, because i knew they were gonna be crazy mark up on them. i just really wanted him to go along with my chip launch party=)

Sometimes the market kicks you in the ass so much that you end up buying with damn flipper prices. i do have to say this, I understand that a flipper can "defend" his or her view by stating a number of reasons. such as, "hey, some people dont have the cash at the time and im doing y'all a favor by keeping it in the comunity" or "I bought fifteen 'cus I wanted the chase so bad i was going to give a kidney and sell my daughter to prostitution for it, and now i have fourteen spares. ".

these and many other excuses come to mind, but the truth is that regardless of how many these people initially bought, they are still getting a mark up on their "spares" and they are negotiating a profit. e.g. fdrotor and his "story". and that simply is disrespectful and cannot be excused. some of us try to hold out as much as we can, since buying from these "good samaritans" is in itself contributing to these black markets. and i understand that, but to have the audacity to come onto a forum, where 90% of the users are loyal fans and have bills and food to put on the table as much as a love for this art, and just pretend its a-o-k to flip the pieces, not cool.

this is not going stop anyone and, frankly, i dont think any of the people that flip pieces care or even consider points of view like mine. Just consider that some of us try to avoid you like the plague, some of us consider you disrespectful and rather than trying to help our community, what you are doing is abusing the care and joy and love we have for this art. you cannot excuse what you do, because if you really cared then COST plus shipping would suffice for you, but it doesnt. because somewhere somehow flippers believe that they are entitled to profit when they "hold" onto pieces until a buyer desperate enough bites the bullet. my two cents.

which is not to say I havent bought at flipper prices, but the offers made from people on this forum specially. And the times others have lend a hand and gone OUT OF THEIR WAY to help me, a total stranger, is what matters. sorry for the rant, its just infuriating to see someone trying to excuse their actions when they are clearly in the wrong. yes, you FDRotor.

Sadly I have to let him go. I don't want to be that be EBAY guy but I would like to make a little extra. I think that's fair... Right
