Re: Let's talk about BUDS
I've never really branched off from the squadt's, what is a BUD?
Are they the one's that wear sweaters?

Re: Let's talk about BUDS
I'm not the most knowledgeable, but as far as I'm aware BUDs are Blow-Up Dolls, another series of collectibles by Jamungo. Blow-up dolls because the heads are usually bombs/explosives *rimshot*
The main series of 3" BUDs came in blind boxes; there are also some 9" ones I've seen around. 'BUD of the month' was also a thing (I don't know how long for); an exclusive model would become available on Rotofugi each month. Personally, I'm holding off these because I find each one appealing and would want a full collection, which would run me quite a lot overall. Never been much of a blind box guy anyway.

Most of that is pretty accurate. Rotofugi didn't carry all of the BUD of the Month figures exclusively, though. Getting a complete collection is nigh on impossible because a couple of early figures which are exceptionally rare. Don't let that stop you, though. Most of the BUD designs are great - and anyone that collects Squadts is bound to like at least a few of FERG's designs.
I sometimes wonder if we'll ever see new BUDs, though. Is Jamungo even a thing anymore?

Thank you, as far as I can tell they look to be a pretty successful series, I'm looking for morecuston projects 😏

lol..thanks man..and i gotta ask whats the story behind your "atv expert" rank?..i always thought that shit was cool how Ferg gave people random names like that..
and on a completely other random note...a 9" Gohsted Bud would be the maaafukkin cats meow..
Re: Let's talk about BUDS
Got my first BUD today! I saw the Skllbud candypaint fire on eBay for $20 and couldn't result. It's still in its bag and I almost don't want to take it out; it just looks so pretty.
Now to track down the chase

Re: Let's talk about BUDS
True! I don't want to get sucked all the way in, so holding out for Candypaints might be the way for me to go. How much did these sell for originally, and what do you normally see 'em selling for now? Curious since I don't really have any points of reference when shopping for BUDs.

Re: Let's talk about BUDS
Discovered they vinyl toy world after i came across a set of 9" blank BUD & Nades. After browsing the board and a little research there doesn't seem to be much going on with them of late. Just wondering if there was any plans to revive them at all?

No plans to revive the blanks, but I may have some back stock available. Shoot me an email at ferg@playge.net.
Re: Let's talk about BUDS
So happy to see some of you excited about the BUDS. The whole reason I got into vinyl and a HUGE part of my recent "success" I am finally displaying my collection properly. Still have a bunch of work to do to get them set up, but I will post a pic later. Also, I will likely be selling a lot of my rare doubles and triples. Stay tuned.
