Storing unframed art prints/posters

I know many people have portfolios of something along those lines to store their stuff that isn't yet framed. Can someone direct me on what to get? Id like to start safely storing my unframed prints flat rather than rolled.

Is this something I could get a craft store like Michaels for a fair price, id really not have to spend a ton of cash I could be putting towards framing. Most everything is 24x36 or smaller, but I do have one that's 25x38

yes you should store flat and not in tubes as that causes waves in the paper from being rolled up
i just use 2 pieces of archival foamcore and acid free tissues between each print, with a few weights ontop to keep em from shifting

for flattening i use the same foamcore, tissue and a large piece of glass for weight. have the roll facing downwards

i hate it when i go to buy matt board and the staff puts on grubby gloves, doesnt help

youre looking at a case that comes at about 200 bucks with 5 or so storage sheets and then extras you can order in the size that you want them. I just cant find the link to save my life. lol. ill get back to you on this.

or just google mylar sleeves or mylar bags, you can get an idea.

I've been googling, found some various one, mias link referred to some as well. I found that Hobby Lobby has the acid free sleeves for a fair price each along with everything else I should need. Taking a trip in the morning for sure.

Just get a flatfile, you should be able to pick one up on Craiglist for under $150. You will NOT be sorry, I have 3 with 5 drawers each and need another 2 at least. I'm up to my eyeballs in prints. If you want to just flatten what you have in or out of a flatfile just get some craft paper, comes in rolls at Lowes or Home Depot, and flatten out your print, cover it with the kraft paper, then put a few books on top. Once you have enough prints you can start using your already flattened prints to flatten new prints and ditch the books.

man, I wish they had them over here. that alone is more expensive to ship here than the price. I guess I did a good deed sending it all home. ;___;
