plus 3a isnt making you buy 2014 3aa just to get discount for ray

While I love the way Ray looks I am having 2 problems.

1. The timing of this sucks as I don't have $416 to drop on this. Christmas shopping for the family takes priority. Really wish the would have delayed this a month or so.
2. If I am spending $416 for this I would like it to stand by itself. That base kills it for me. I understand that they need it for stability - but I still hate it.

I'm sure it is a killer figure. As an owner of Rex - the quality of ray will be great. I just won't be getting a Ray to go along with my Rex.

ya youre right about the base
the one thing i really dont like is the rubber on the feet
for one its rubber so its gonna deteriorate
and i just dont get why its needed at all (especially if it cant stand by itself)

no rex so no ray here too

That's the other thing that bugged me itsa_mia. The rubber on the feet - I don't like the look of it when it is standing since the rubber gets deformed when pressure is applied. Not sure why it was made like that.

I passed on the bears & squidy. Was looking to save that money for ray but since passing on that too I'm probably going to put it towards trigger 2 and 3AA. Really hoping the 3A Marvel figure(s) start releasing in 2014. Looking forward to those and the rest of 7 bones .

Hey ian - I think they took it off of the bambaland store (dont see it up there) so unless someone already preordered it I think you may be out of luck for the $416 price. I know bigbadtoystore just put up a preorder. it's $449.99 but I don't know if it includes the ocelot figure or not.

Not sure if I am going to renew my 3AA membership this year. The past few years have been rocky with them and I only want a handful of figures so the discount won't really pay for itself in 2014. We will see.
