Customising Question

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

Im new to the Vinyl Toy world. I am an illustrator and have stumbled upon a set of Blank 9" White BUD & Nades. I have never worked with Vinyl before but was interested in customising them and wanted some advice on what works well with vinyl.

I do all of my work with pen, usually Sakura Pigma Fineliners or Staedtler Pigment Liners. Would they work on vinyl? Or is there a particular kind of black fineliner pen that would be effective?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea about pens but i am aware that sharpies tend to either fade or bleed.
Also my andrew bell mfc was signed/numbered with one of those metallic silver ink pens and that has pretty much faded away.

I have this bookmark from kr in which someone has gathered a pile of customizing threads into one big thread.
Theres a bunch i see about sharpies ect that might help answer your question but i haven't read them.

Amazing! Thanks for that link, lots of useful info!

I can imagine that pens will bleed / fade on this kind of material, just want to try and get the right tools before i start as i don't want to waste the figure.

I will post up any work i do with the BUD.
