Re: You know what grinds my gears....
At my last job I worked with my buddy and his mom. We opened every morning together at 9am, and we all knew better than to say ANYTHING to each other.
I especially hate when I wake up and someone yells out "g'morning!" before my eyes are even open. I'm like..."yeah, go fuck yourself."

Re: You know what grinds my gears....
People asking me to do anything at all pisses me off.
If people want shit done, why can't they di it them damn selves! Chances are I don't give two fucks ifit gets done or not, or else I woulda did it already. If you want me to do something.. pay me.
I especially hate when someone asks me to do something and I say "I will do it in a minute" and then they ask me 30 seconds later. "I said MINUTE, BITCH!"

I find it annoying when tattoo virgins get ink for the first time & constantly blab about it. ENOUGH ALREADY! I did that shit 2 decades ago
Re: You know what grinds my gears....
You know what grinds my gears?
Public bathroom paper towels. They expect us to get our hands dry with those shits, but there's no absortion. You keep pulling more and more paper to finally feel dry, and then some eco asshole shows up to annoy your ass, because you're being anti-ecological
That really grinds my gears

I understand having pride in your hometown and/or the city in which you live. I have no problem with that. HOWEVER, I do have a problem with people from NYC making ignorant comments about other areas and cities. People from all kinds of places say shit like that, but New Yorkers are definitely the biggest offenders. NYC is great for the occasional visit (gonna be there next week), but you couldn't pay me enough money to live there.

having your half-hour commute take an entire hour only to show up for work, sit down, and have the power go out for 2 hours. I could have just stayed in bed

Not as bad as having your hal hour commute take 2 hours.. and then being late for a meeting
I hate the fall only because college starts back up and the highways are clogged with students commuting to Boston to go to school.
Take public transportation! I gots to get to work!
Nah, but really its only bad the first week, and then a large percentage of people either drop out or stop going to class so my commute gets a little less crazy, but still not as good as 15-30 minutes which is what I generally get in the summer.

This sounds exactly like my commute. The first few weeks of school, i just want to shoot everybody. You can even tell when finals are going on, traffic gets heavier for the last week or so.

Being "volunteered" for more work. Yeah just pile on more tasks for me while you spend the rest of the workday bitching about your family and not working at all.
Re: You know what grinds my gears....
making an 1 1/2 hour trek to Ikea only to find out they have discontinued the Billy bookcase in beech veneer. Now I can't get my display cases!

i would have gone up there either way for some other items, but i just wanted to choke the guy who worked there when he told me. He just couldn't realize why it would be a big deal. Then I spent the next 1/2 deciding if I should go with the Detolf's or their other shelving in Beech Veneer. I mean doesn't ikea know how picky collectors can be, sheesh!
