I'm looking for someone to make a figure

I'm in the process of finding someone who can produce a figure for me, and possibly produce between 1 and 100 of them? Something in a similar style to:

Let us know how it works out. Yeah do some research making toys is not cheap, trust me.

I doubt this is about bootlegging a Squadt. Perhaps more so about looking for help/advice for getting a figure made, and has an appreciation for the the design/quality of the Squadts and thought to come to the source.

It wasn't a post about bootlegging someone else's design, I just saw those figures and thought it was a similar style to what I was thinking of having made. Maybe I was a little vague when I first posted my question so let me try and clear this up.

I haven't got a design for a character as such yet but I was thinking of using this mask which I've used in a few of my designs and profile pictures:

...and for the character to be wearing a white hoodie with my Splurj logo on it. I want it for more of a promotional thing really not to sell or rip anyones design off. I can understand the time and effort people put into these products, and making them unique, but I really have not idea of who, what, or how!?

I like your idea. Sounds like it could look pretty cool! It'll definitely cost you a nice chunk of cash though. I'm sayin at LEAST a couple thousand for 100 pieces.

I like the idea too, but it's probably more like $8-10k. Shit be pricey!!!

I had a feeling you might say that, how much do you think say 10 would cost? What if they were made with the hoodies as part of the character (if that makes sense) without it being made in material, do you think that would that bring the cost down a bit?

I'm not an expert but I think most of the cost comes from making moulds etc.

This is the truth.
Also unless you have sculpting skills you will need to hire an artist to make your prototype to base the molds of of. Which can cost quite a bit of money as well as no one wants to work for free.

If you could make your own master/molds and clothing and hand paint them etc, you could probably make a small run (10ish) of hand-poured resin figures for around $2k for materials and some basic tools. This of course depends on how detailed the figures are, how many parts go into each figure, how big the figures are and how good you are working with the materials and assuming the molds and everything are perfect first try.

As FERG would likely be the first to attest, there are valid reasons why limited edition toys are generally so expensive. And it's not usually that the artist/designers wants to be a millionaire

I should have realised that amount of work would be involved, I'll have to come back to this in the near future... when I've made a few more music videos LOL!

what type of modeling/modeler would I look for if I wanted to get a couple of lifesize versions made? Would there be a cheaper way of modeling?

Do it yourself

Use toy weapons, old cameras, junk etc. to build it and then paint it
