I got this from paypal today about yesterdays launch party purchases:

How does everyone display them ? I want a dust free case for them. Still looking for something good but not expensive

thanks for the tracking info ferg. usually the fedex guy will leave a slip on the front door of my building to say he left the package @ the rental office, not the case this time (and apparently the girl at the front desk is blind because the box clearly said my apt # on it)

Problems with Detolf shelves: A little unsturdy and can only be bought at a ikea dealer not ordered online. I wish there were alternatives to detolfs. Not everyone lives by a ikea.

Yeah I got my first ikea deltof...whatever its called. They are okay. Still very generic. Going back to buying old vintage cabinets. They look better and have character.

thing about the detolfs is that they are all glass. You can see your figure in 360 if wished.

Thats cool. but most are up against the wall. So thats 3 views you get. Also there is no room to customize them. Shelves don't move, no base for storage..can only light up the top so that the bottom shelf is very dark compared to the top. They are cool...but there is a better way.

Collectors should get more creative with their display cases. Not get lazy and use some cold glass tomb from the swiss.

If you think that you can only put a light in the top of a detolf, you should read this blog:

His technique could be cleaned up a bit, but overall he does a very nice job, the lighting is very good and it isn't very difficult or expensive.
