Whether you hate the owners or the players is irrelevant.....
I love the NFL more than any other professional sport, even hockey

the 2012 SB is scheduled for February 5th
from my espn sources, the nfl is planning to settle the lockout so that the season starts 3 weeks later
there would be no 2 week period between the championship and the SB
this would put the new date of the SB for February 19th, the day before President's day

I just received an e-mail regarding CBS Fantasy Football league special for $149.99. That would be $12.50/person in a 12-man league or $15.00 in a 10-man league. They also offer money back for a cancelled or reduced schedule season.

I would love to run a CAD members only fantasy football league.

If this lock-out does get resolved, whose interested in joining?

I'm looking for either hard core fantasy football freaks OR people who will be available for the draft and for every week of the season regardless how their team performs.

So who is 100% interested. Looking for either 10 or 12 guaranteed participants.

NFL owners have been briefed on discussions for a new collective bargaining agreement that would net the players just under 50 percent of total revenues.

this thing is about to be settled..........there will be football this season!!!

this is just plain dumb. that's like my employees striking and demanding 50% of my profit.

Besides health (which this isnt' about) the players have no financial risk, nor did they put in an initial investment of some couple hundred million to buy the team. i say replace all the players, after two years we won't care what happened to them, because there are always more players. sad thing is, there aren't always more billionaires to buy teams and take the risk of this type of shit happening.

Hey look, I just made $2m for a weeks worth of practicing and 4 quarters of playing football. almost as bad as facebook being valued at $40billion. USA's number one export................................................................entertainment! Those silly americans!

The owners are the bigger A-holes in the current dispute. It doesn't take a billionaire to have a successful team. The Packers are owned by the public. Most of the private NFL owners are dicks who would move their team anywhere that will give them a free stadium that they should have to pay for with their own money, not the public's. Players are whiners too, but they make the game what it is, take all the physical risks, and only play a few years on average. I hope it gets resolved before the season rather than as explained earlier in this thread. I live for NFL season and Fantasy Football!
