Just wanted to share my Germ Nuuk! I feel so lucky to have gotten one cos it look so badass!

I just cut a little piece of vellum and put it inside the lens. I have some blue vellum on the way so it'll hopefully look even better.

Not working too well and I have no idea why. I made it super concentrated and it's still not working.

Been in for over an hour and it's only supposed to take a few minutes. I'm ready to put them in some straight up dye.

Yeah. It didn't work : /

Barely held any color even after 10 minutes in straight dye. Maybe it's the type of plastic? There's a tutorial on their website showing the process of dying buttons. I can't imagine the materials are that different from each other... Who knows. I found some translucent spray paint online so I guess I'll give that a shot.

ive never used the stuff but ive seen it on the web too
weird it wouldnt take although i didnt really understand how it could dye hard plastic in the first place
but thats whats its advertised to do i think

what's a vellum? will spraying the lens with those frost paint in hardware stores work?

Why does it seem like NUUK is getting so much more love than BYO?

That looks different. It seems like it might be a little too thick. I have a couple different shades of blue vellum on the way and I'm waiting on the blue spray paint too.

After spending many-an-hour trying to get the batteries IN, I finally did it, after getting the currents wrong. Although the battery cover is so loose it doesn't stay in, anyone know why?

Anyone have a Nuuk they are parting with, managed to get byo but cannot find those batteries in any of the stores around here he looks cool with the liteup eyes.
