So I haven't touched my 360 in like 2 years.. can you cross system play yet? 360 v.s ps3 in COD or some game?

This will never ever happen. Not ever.
Don't even try to dream about it, it won't happen.

A few years back (well like 10 years) Microsoft did some testing allowing PC Gamers to play Halo against console gamers. The console gamers got uniformly slaughtered by the mouse jockeys. At that point MS decided it wouldn't be a good game play experience for their Live customers to be able to ply against PC gamers. The mouse is just a better control device for precision movement in games like Halo (Xbox's bread & butter).

There is no way that Microsoft would open the gates and even give Sony the opportunity to make it seem like playing a game on the PS3 automatically makes you a better player. Even if this wouldn't be the case, even if there was a chance that 360 Gamers would trounce all over PS3 gamers in certain games, Microsoft and Sony both have no interest in opening themselves up to the possibility that gamers would be able to so directly compare systems by simultaneously playing the same games.

Hmm makes sense, used to play star wars galaxies which was an mmorpg that xbox people were able to play via internet. Figured things would have just progressed more to the point players would want to battle cross platform. I would see how that would be a big problem for sony and microsoft, but on the other hand game developers and players would be able to enjoy a new way to play.
