SCREEN PRINTERS: I could use your advice
So, I need some help with what brands are good and what products are absolutely essential for experimenting and starting some silkscreen projects. I have a bunch of experience prepping art (even using Rubylith) and a little bit with screening on shirts... but I know very little on brands and producing screens.
My questions are...
1. Are these starter kits any good? As in, quality and price?
2. What brands and websites would you recommend?
I'm not trying to do anything huge... yet. Just a one or two color shirt design and art prints.
Thanks in advance!

Don't waste your money on those starter kits, they suck. Speedball inks are fine, but the starter kits suck nutz!
VICTORY
cheap and reliable, you'll need: screen(s), squeegee(s), a scoop coater, those hinge clamps they have on there are decent for starters.
But yes if you really want to get a major handle on things go over to GP and go premium, there is such a wealth of knowledge on that site it will take you months to go through it all. Trust me it's worth going premium.

Community college is the way to go! they have all the equipment you need. classes are cheap and typically you can use as much materials as you want. All you have to pay is the units and lab fee... And speedball starter kits do suck nutz!

Thanks, fellas! Appreciate the help!
Ordered the book and off to gigposters... Hope they take it easy on a noob.
May have to check out some community college courses. Even though I'm not too fond of art school... Done that already.
Damn. Just signed up at GP... So fucking cool over there! I've got a brand new world to explore... Its gonna take months. The lady-piece is gonna be so jealous.
