Re: cripery's 'customizing'
Thanks for the interest everyone! Happy, to share.
- - Dude, that made me laugh.
Definitely won't do anything with Ferg's designs on..
Not sure what brand of paper it is... - I only bought packs of 5 sheets, so they just came in transparent envelopes. Each type has a different colour grid on the backing paper. - They were all from this place: http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/default.aspx I assume they just buy in bulk and then repackage it for selling. All the instruction sheets were all just branded craftycomputerpaper.
No, they are just scans from the Squadt boxes and then fiddled around with on the PC to sort out any little issues. I had to re-colour the redjack ones as my scanner didn't capture a consistent colour. I have some ideas for my own designs and will be sure to share...

Bayonet Mods
Been having a go at some interchangeable sM4 bayonet mods recently. Using little magnets:
Here's mod1[MK] meat knife:
and here's mod2[MM] mini machete:
NKD TB putting them to good use:
The little magnets can be bought cheaply on eBay: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Guys-Magnets
It's fairly easy to do, the most important thing is getting the holes where you insert the magnets really accurate. They need to be lined up exactly or else the blade ends up not being straight and pointing off at an angle. Also, you need to remember that opposite poles will repel!

Thanks guys!
Charlie, yes - I've actually done it twice now, you'd think I'd learn my lesson. - It's a pain in the ass when you've superglued a magnet the wrong way round alright..

Re: cripery's 'customizing'
Ben, did you use a dremel or a power drill to make the holes for the magnets? I had difficulty using a dremel and the bits becus they would get too hot and melt the vinyl. I think a drill w/ proper drill bits would've been more effective/easy.

Yeah, I probably will give them a little dab of paint at some stage. They're not very noticeable really as they're either stuck together or in hand usually and they look fairly neat and tidy as they're so small.

I just have a little hand drill (more a finger drill really) that is useful for these small, delicate jobs. They work surprisingly well:

Thanks!
Those particular ones are 1.5mm x 2mm but you could probably get away with a bit bigger. I also have some 3mm x 5mm but I've yet to use them on anything yet. They'd probably be more necessary on something a bit heavier.

Re: cripery's 'customizing'
Awesome work. That magnet mod works great for keeping scopes firmly in place.
