Stunning work all around! That blue color is awesome!
Re: Painting a Squadt: Not Step by Step - A Work in Progress
Didn't have a white body handy. Not feeling the white lenses, maybe needs some shading around the eyes......

Greg, they helmets look great, but I personally am not digging the GID bug lenses on them, can you toss the clear bug lenses on or maybe some yellow? I might have to send you some stuff to paint lol.

Hmmm I wonder if that would work on my flippers, the paint dried extremely tacky and I kept removing it giving up after 3-4 attempts... maybe I'll give it another try. Good info.
What paint are you using for the paint to be tacky on the arms? I haven't had issues on the vinyl body itself, jus the soft rubber flippers.

Re: Painting a Squadt: Not Step by Step - A Work in Progress
All the other parts were fine, just the arms remain tacky
Im surprised it sealed actually, i was expecting a bigger mess
The paint was just krylon for plastic and rustoleum flat matte clear coat
Its the same stuff i posted quite a few pages back

Weird, I wonder why the arms got tacky. Oh well as long as its OK now!
Question: is it safe to wet sand wood or should I not do that? Would it damage it or anything?

The issue with wet sanding wood is it can soak up the water. Damage all depends on what you intend for the wood but this is generally not desirable. I wouldn't do it.

Maybe dry sanding then? I want to make the surface smoother, I don't plan on painting it or anything.

Yes, dry sand. Should get pretty smooth with 220 but if not to your liking then step up to 320. What kind of wood is it?

Cool, I'll give it a try. From the description, the seller told me it was ash wood? Never heard of that before...
